Creativity Coaching

Receive tools and support to express yourself artistically, personally and professionally in new, authentic and creative ways.  We will work experientially with techniques from both the Artist's Way and Improv to free your creativity.  We work interactively so you are fully engaged in your creative development.

Performance Coaching

Clarity about your presentation and energy in performance: preparation for auditions and shows.  Are you holding your audience?  Is your act tight?  Is this truly a peak performance?  Is there a good energy flow between you and your audience? We will re-focus your act to give you the ability and confidence to have dynamic gigs.

 

Career Coaching

Define goals and follow through.  Some areas of focus may be: contracts, booking, management, creating your team, marketing, image, repertoire, artistic vision.

 

Songwriting

Specialized attention to your songwriting: form, style, artistry, individuality.  Learn song structures, techniques to get your ideas flowing from famous writers and improv, and writing in various styles.  Explore professional organizations and outlets for commercial songwriting.

 

Arrangement

Instrumentation and presentation, music structure, tempo, rhythm, voicing, and dynamics treatments for your songs.

Recording Production

 

Focus: Creative (artist & repertoire,) sound, musical parts, and recording performance coaching in my studio space and at professional recording studios.

 

Preparation for Performances, Touring and the Studio:

Becoming tight, song selection, arrangements, instrumentation, selecting additional musicians, selecting support personnel, artistic coaching; clarifying your budget from recording to final product.

 

Selecting the Recording Studio:

Finding the right room and the best engineer for your sound; negotiating a prudent financial package.

 

In the studio: 

Supporting you to get a peak performance; Coordinating the recording process with the engineer; being your ears in the recording control room; working together to choose final takes; assisting you to choose the mastering facility and finalize the master.

 

CD Production and Web Distribution:

Facilitating your vision for CD art and layout; finding the best production facility for you; assisting you to receive hard product for gig sales; building your website, obtaining copyrights, performance rights and song publishing; getting a label or self-releasing your CD; choosing your distributor.
